”The family” decided that the place for charging phones in the kitchen had become a bit messy with the latest additions. I tried searching for ready-made solutions, but didn’t find anything. The IKEA Hackers site had instructions for building a nice place to charge your phones but, being an old instruction, the suggested IKEA items are no longer sold.
So I updated the ingredients, ending up with buying the VARIERA bowl, and an APTITLIG cutting board covered in a NYSKÖLJD drip cloth. I had to cut down the board just a centimeter or two to make it fit. This way, the cables are snug around the soft edge of the board. I use a six port charger in the bottom of the bowl, together with the unused lengths of cable.
